MY GO TO SUMMER SMOOTHIES
I am always on the go especially in the summer with working and traveling, so I love following easy recipes. Smoothies are one of my favorite on-the-go drinks in the summer as they are so refreshing. They are quick and easy and I love to drink them on my way to work if I’m in a hurry. I love to have a more tropical smoothie to give me all of the summer vacation vibes and a yummy chocolate one for when I’m craving something sweet and want a treat. Find the ingredients for both below!
T R O P I C A L S M O O T H I E
-1/2 cup of pineapple
-1/2 cup of mango
-1/2 cup of strawberry
-Half almond milk and half orange juice
-1 tablespoon of honey
-Ice to fill rest of the blender
Mix these ingredients to the consistency of your liking and enjoy! I usually use coconut milk or vanilla almond milk for additional flavor as opposed to regular almond milk. This one is so refreshing on a hot day!
C H O C O L A T E P E A N U T B U T T E R P R O T E I N S M O O T H I E
-Two big scoops of peanut butter
-1/3 cup of protein powder
-1/3 cup of cocoa powder
-1 teaspoon of flax seeds and chia seeds
-Vanilla almond milk (as much as you prefer)
-1 teaspoon of cinnamon and maple syrup for sweetness
-Ice to fill the rest of the blender
I also love adding banana to this smoothie to make it more creamy like a milkshake! This one is so yummy for a dessert-like treat after work or for a mid day pick me up.
