I know I’m not the only one who scrolls tik tok and instagram, sees a new product that an influencer recommends, sighs and adds to cart. Especially in the summer there are so many recommended sunscreens, makeup products and more - it is hard to resist buying! I have tried a TON of trending products this summer and I wanted to give you the low down on whether or not they were worth the buy!

I was so excited to try this one this summer as I love laying by the pool and getting a glowy tan. This product is supposed to act as a tanning lotion and give you a deeper, darker tan. Honestly, I was sadly disappointed that I spent $30 on this. When you first apply it, it looks very dark so it almost tricks you into thinking it’s working. As soon as I showered, it washed off and I did not get any tanner. It also gets on your towel, bathing suit and coverup so I would not recommend it!
BITCH STIX SPF CHAPSTICK

This is one of my favorite products for summer (and we have it at Stile for only $10)! Bitch stix has amazing SPF products and my favorite is their original chapstick. I use it every day so my lips don’t get brunt or chapped. I also love the different flavors. Bitch stix also has lip oil, lip scrub, and a lip mask that are fantastic. The perfect addition to your beach bag.
SKIMS SCOOP NECK ONE PIECE BATHING SUIT

I had high hopes for this one as I absolutely love Skims shapewear and bodysuits. I did love the scoop neck on this bathing suit and the shape it gave me, but it was extremely low cut on the sides. It also rides up and gives you a wedgie. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it for my bigger chested girlies or girls with a long torso!
LAURA MERCIER TRANSLUCENT SETTING POWDER

I bought this product in the spring because I saw Alix Earle use it in one of her “get ready with me” tik toks. I used it all spring but I truly started to LOVE it in the summer when I’m wearing makeup and I’m sweating. It truly sets your makeup ALL day and keeps me from looking oily or sweaty. I use it under my eyes, on my nose and on the most oily parts of my face after doing my makeup. It is definitely pricey but if you need a good setting powder I highly recommend it!
AMAZON STICKY BRA

Ok guys this is one I have had in my life for many years now and I have recommended it to so many customers. How many of us want to wear backless dresses and strapless tops in the summer but can’t find the perfect bra to wear? Look no further than this $20 Amazon bra. I have literally purchased this 14 times over the years. It keeps its stick all day even in the summer and I no longer wear bras with straps. This is on the top of my must have list!
THE ORDINARY HYALURONIC ACID PEELING SOLUTION

I’ve seen this peel all over social media - it’s bright red and looks like a bloody facial. It’s supposed to be great for exfoliating your skin once a week. You just leave it on for 10 mins and then wash with warm water. I have used this for 2 months now. While it is a fantastic fast-working face exfoliate, I honestly haven’t noticed a huge difference in my skin. I also wouldn’t recommend using it if you have sensitive skin.
ISLE OF PARADISE SELF TANNING DROPS

This is a product I have used for years now and highly recommend. I go back and forth between the isle of paradise self tanning drops and the tanologist self tanning drops. Both are amazing in my book. Add a drop to your moisturizer 3-4 times a week and it leaves your face looking glowy and tanned for summer. A great way to protect your face from the sun but also get a tan!
MOROCCAN OIL LEAVE IN TREATMENT

A friend recommended this product to use for dry hair in the summer. You’re supposed to apply it after you wash your hair for extra moisturizing. It worked for a short period of time to moisturize my hair but in the long run, I didn't notice much change to my hair. Kerastase leave in nutritive has worked better for me as a heat protectant and leave in moisturizer.
SUPERGOOP GLOW OIL SPF SUNSCREEN

I was reluctant to buy this because it is $38 for a bottle but after seeing amazing tik tok reviews, I just had to see what the hype was about. This is a product I hated to love but it was great. It's so hard to find a good sunscreen that isn't too greasy. This product is basically like baby oil with SPF in it so it soaks into your skin and gives you a glow as you’re laying out! I only knocked off 1 point because it is very expensive.
RARE BEAUTY SOFT PINCH LIQUID BLUSH

Leave it to my girl Selena to come out with the most amazing blush. I love love love blush in my everyday makeup routine. In the summer, a hint of blush on the cheekbones leaves you looking sun-kissed and glowy. I was always a powder blush girlie until I tried Rare Beauty’s soft punch liquid blush. The smallest amount goes a long way so this product also lasts so long!
