RATING MAKEUP PRODUCTS FROM SOFIA RICHIE'S REHEARSAL DINNER LOOK
Is safe to say the wedding of the year belongs to Sofia Richie & Elliot Grainge. From the music to the looks - I know a lot of brides (including myself) took notes! Sofia is a pro at the “clean girl” hair and makeup aesthetic and her makeup artist, Pati Dubroff, shared every product she used for both the rehearsal dinner & wedding on her Tiktok (@patidubroff). Makeup is definitely not my strength so I am not easily influenced by this side of TikTok. When I saw how inexpensive and easy her makeup look was to achieve, I ordered every available product to try it for myself. Read below for my review (& prepare to add a few items to cart)!
CHEEK
Nudestix Blush Stick in Sunkissed ($35)
RATING: 4/5 Everything about the shade of this blush is a 5/5, but the slight thickness and need to use your finger to applicate brings it down a point. Nudestix Blush Sticks do come with a built in brush, but it is not super easy to blend.
Nudestix Blush Stick in Picante ($35)
RATING: 4/5 This shade is not for everyone (tomato red), but it does give you a nice day in the sun glow during the summer months. Do not go crazy with the application of this shade - just a little bit is needed.
EYES
Nudestix Magnetic Matte Eye Color in Slate ($21)
Unfortunately this product has been sold out! I substituted with Laura Mercier's Caviar Stick Eye Color ($32). I LOVE this product - eye shadow application is a foreign language to me, but these are fool proof.
Chanel Baume Essentiel in Dragee ($45)
RATING: 2/5 I was super excited about this product because it can be used on eyes, lips, and face. It feels super nice on your skin, but I do not think this product adds much to your look. Because of this, I am giving it a 2/5.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara in Black ($8.99)
RATING: 4/5 Waterproof mascara is a must for a wedding weekend (whether you're the bride or a guest)! Nothing beats a drugstore product that is good enough for celebrity makeup artists. I especially love a mascara with a double sided applicator.
FACE
Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer in Light Medium ($30)
RATING: 3/5 Despite watching videos on how to use this product, I am still not sure that I am using it correctly. Pati only uses a bit on Sofia, but I felt I needed more of an all-over application to achieve an even bronzed tone. This product is super lightweight - I do not recommend for a formal event, but it is perfect for a "no makeup" summer look.
LIPS
Chanel Rouge Coco Flash in Boy ($45)
Rating: 5/5 RUN DON'T WALK to purchase this lipstick. This is now my go to color for everyday. This is the nude color I have been dreaming of & I now have everyone in the Stile office hooked!
Dibs Lip Definer in Light ($16)
Rating: 4/5 If you are sold on the Chanel lipstick & love a good liner add this product to your cart! Rating this product a 4/5 because it is much smaller than I anticipated it to be.
