It’s time to dive into the weekend we have all been looking forward too…. Memorial Day Weekend!! I can't help but feel the excitement bubbling up like a fizzy summer cocktail!

Originally known as Decoration Day, Memorial Day has its origins in the aftermath of the Civil War, when communities across the United States began honoring fallen soldiers by decorating their graves with flowers and flags. Civilians would do this as a gesture of remembrance and gratitude; a way to remember and show appreciation to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation's freedom. Over time, Decoration Day evolved into the Memorial Day we know and love today - a time to honor all military personnel who have passed away, while also embracing the spirit of togetherness that defines the weekend. So, as we take part in all the fun festivities, let us take the time to honor the heroes who have bravely served our country, to cherish moments with loved ones, and to kick off the summer season with excitement and gratitude!

I am going to wear this dress to my favorite rooftop restaurant in Philadelphia, Assembly. With the incredible view of the parkway and the art museum, there is no better place to enjoy dinner with friends and watch the city celebrate from above!
